A Diamond In The Rough

Today was a beautiful and sunny day in which to play in the yard. It was also a chance to introduce my new foster Rottweiler, Tori, to clicker training. It is always amazing to me how this simple device can open up a world of communication for a dog that doesn't know how to communicate. In all actuality, until being rescued, she probably didn't know what it was to forge a relationship with a human being. So, today she was given a way to understand me and she loved it. In one session she was sitting on cue. I cannot wait to see what tomorrow will bring...

Gracie Needs Help!

Gracie Needs Help!

I just recieved the following e-mail regarding Gracie, an approximately 4 month old Rottweiler:

"I have a beatiful 3-4 mnth old Rotti female who was private owned turned in per the wardens. Gracie was hit by a car but it is healed now. Gracie needs rescue help or she will not make it out of the shelter. She does have something happening with her legs she can walk but not well. Gracie is a sweetheart of a dog,I know it is a long shot but try to see if you can find someone for her. I have to try to help her she has suffered enough with not being treated when it happened . Thanks for trying to help Gracie she is so pretty I will take pics later."
